Handling of Concerns

Every effort shall be made to investigate concerns while recognizing the need for safe, efficient and effective transportation services in compliance with policies, procedures and legislation.

Concerns are to be processed in accordance with the following procedure:

  1. Concerns shall be directed initially to the school Principal.
  2. If the concerns are not resolved at the school level, concerns shall be directed to NSTS. The Transportation Coordinator will investigate the concern and render a decision. A further appeal may be made to the Executive Director.
  3. If the concerns are still not resolved, the concern shall be directed  to the appropriate Superintendent for further consideration.
Concerns shall be addressed in a timely manner. The Principal, NSTS and/or the Superintendent of Education will make every effort to acknowledge the receipt of the concern within 24-hours to the individual or person with whom the concern originated; however, it may take some time to investigate and find a resolution.
