2015-16 School Year
Niagara Student Transportation Services (NSTS) is preparing for the 2015-16 school year. Please review the following information.
NSTS Office Shut-Down
The NSTS Office will be closed for two weeks commencing Monday, July 27, 2015 and will re-open on Monday, August 10, 2015.
Specific Transportation Details
2015-16 back to school student transportation arrangements specific to your child will be available
through the NSTS website on August 17, 2015. You will need your child's Ontario Education Number (OEN) which you can find on your child’s report card to log-in to our secure parent portal.
Eligibility for Service
To determine if your child is eligible for service you may log-in to our secure parent portal. If your child is eligible for service, the transportation
information will be displayed. If your child is not eligible for service the walking path information that was used to calculate eligibility will be displayed.
Moving or Changing Daycares
To ensure NSTS plans transportation for your child correctly, please make sure you update pick-up and drop-off address information with
your school prior to the end of the current school year. If you are moving and want to know if your new address is eligible for service,
please use our Eligibility tool by entering the address, school and grade of your child.
During the summer you may notify NSTS of address changes so we can make sure a bus stop is
available for your child to start the school year, however, NSTS is not authorized to change student address information.
First Rider Programs
The First Ride Program is beneficial for all primary students new to the school bus. The Niagara-wide program is scheduled at the Pen Centre on August 28 and 29.
Sharp Bus Lines is conducting the First Rider Program this year.
Please contact NSTS by phone (905) 346-0290 or email email@example.com to reserve your ride. Schools can book the First Ride Program to come directly to their school at no cost.
Subscribing for Bus Delays and Notifications
NSTS has redesigned this website to improve accessibility and to simplify use and navigation.
Secure portals are available for parents, schools and service providers to obtain specific information relevant to eligibility, routes, stop locations and times.
Transportation delays greater than ten (10) minutes are posted by operators on this website. You can view delays and cancellations on the website,
or parents can subscribe to this feature so that delays and cancellations impacting your child’s bus route can be emailed directly to you.
